LSD

LSD was originally created by Barney’s Farm in Amsterdam. It was a well known Coffee Shop strain before it made it over to the states. It is a hearty grower with little problems. LSD is very resistant to mold, and some say it has a similar smell to Northern Lights. This is not a Strain for beginners as it is very stoney and may come on too strong, especially right behind the eyes. “Lollipopping” is not recommended for this strain, as the stalk does not adjust well to the dramatic pruning. Naturally a disease resistant strain; However, try to keep it drier toward the end of the cycle to make sure and keep that mold out of your buds that can occur with too much humidity. It is also considered a difficult strain to grow for beginners, so keep that in mind as well.

Bubba

Bubba Kush got it’s name from the OG grower that produced this Strain back in the 90’s. Hindu Kush was the original Mother and was cross-bred with a strain called “Bubba” by complete accident. Bubba was given some seeds by a friend that were a Northen Lights cross. Once the plants grew, he noticed there was one that stood out from the rest. The majority of the plants were tall and thin. However, a single plant out of the bunch was gorgeous and full, with nice, thick branches, and wide, dark leaves. Bubba decided to keep this one around and affectionately named it “Bubba”. A few small “Bubba” clones traveled from Gainsville to California via a rollerblade with Bubba to continue growing the strain out West. He held on to the Kush and the Bubba strain when he moved in with one of his best friends to continue his grow operation. In their new grow-op, space was limited, and the Kush was “a tough strain [to grow]”. It was a hard time growing the two dramatically different strains together, so Bubba decided to stop growing the “Bubba” strain and focus on the Kush. The Kush strain went Gangbusters and everyone wanted it. A short time later, they discovered that one of their Kush plants had hermaphrodited and pollinated the  Bubba. Bubba Kush was born and became a national favorite along with Kush. It also has a relative strain that is a White Widow x Bubblegum cross. Several other strains have appeared under the same name, all of which use the original Bubba Kush name.
